Echolith is a pendant light born at the intersection of craft, sound, and sculptural form. Made through the traditional technique of wood turning, the piece carries the tactile memory of a lathe, where raw timber is patiently shaped into rhythmic contours. Its profile is inspired by the visual patterns of sound waves, translating the invisible resonance of audio frequencies into a physical, glowing object.
The Approach
How we solved it — through research, iteration, and intelligent design.
One half of Echolith is finished in a rich, lacquered red—a deliberate nod to the centuries-old Channapatna toy-making tradition, where vibrant lac colors have long defined Karnataka’s craft identity.
